Access to the Fan Zone in Kiev




The official fan zone will be located in the downtown, central part of the city at the Independence Square and Khreschatyk street at the intersection of pedestrian and transport routes in the area. The fan zone is within walking distance of the NSC Olympiyskiy. Opening hours: 12.00 to 01.00 from 08/06/2012 to 01/07/2012.

Seats for disabled fans


The space for disabled fans will be separated with a fence and marked with relative signage.


The seats will be located at two sites, measuring 117 sq.m and 50 sq.m.


The places are located within 80m of the screen.


Seats Booking


Disabled fans can book a place for themselves and for their assistants/accompanying persons through the organisers of the fan zone on the host city website. There also will be rest stops for ambulant disabled people who use walking aids and/or have limited mobility.





The nearest accessible toilet is 50m away from the disabled supporters section. There is total of 5 accessible toilets at the fan zone. Staff will be on hand to make sure that only disabled supporters have access to the accessible toilets.



Dedicated Entrances


The entrance from Gorodetskogo Street (width - 2.2 m) will be accessible and have relative signage. 4 more entrances will also be accessible.



Public Transport and Parking


Accessible parking and drop off points will be available at Gorodetskogo Street. No dedicated transportation service to bring disabled people from the fan zone to the stadium is planned.



Refreshment Facilities

5 trade outlets, shops and dining places in the fan zones will have low counters and be accessible.




Information about the places and available services for disabled fans before the tournament/match will be provided at information centres within the fan zone.


The staff serving the fan zone will receive basic disability awareness training prior to the tournament.
