Access to the Fan Zone in Kharkiv
The Fan Zone in Kharkiv will be located in Svobody Square and will be operated from June 8 to July 1, 2012 from noon to midnight on match days, and on non-match days from 16.00 to 00.00 local time.
Seats for disabled fans
An area of the Fan Zone will be kept solely for disabled supporters and their party. The area will be signposted as such and include additional signage for assistance.
The seats will be together in a 100sq.m section, and will be 20m away from the big screen.
Seats Booking
Disabled fans can book a place for themselves and their assistants/accompanying persons through the website of the organisers of the fan zone. There also will be rest stops for ambulant disabled people who use walking aids and/or have limited mobility.
Toilets
The nearest accessible toilet is located 20m from the disabled supporters area. There is a total of 5 accessible toilets at the fan zone. Staff will ensure that accessible toilets are free for disabled supporters to use only.
Dedicated Entrances
Three main entrances and an entrance to the VIP-zone will be accessible. Also, 5 exits from the fan zone, 8 emergency exits and three transportation entry-exits will be accessible and marked accordingly.
Public Transport and Parking
Accessible parking and drop off points can be found at the top of Svobody Avenue. No dedicated transportation service to bring disabled suporters from the fan zone to the stadium is planned.
Refreshment Facilities
Trade outlets, shops and dining places in the fan zones will have low counters and will be accessible.
Information
Information about the places and available services for disabled fans before the tournament/match will be provided at information centres of the fan zone.
The staff serving the fan zone will receive basic disability awareness training prior to the tournament.
