Seats for disabled fans
The disabled supporters area of the fan zone measures 10m x 10m, and will be located in front of the main fan zone stage. The section will be marked with appropriate signage and fenced. Each seat within the zone is 1.5m x 1.5m.
The area will be 20m away from the fence around the main stage.
As the fan zones will be available free of charge for all supporters during the tournament, organisers in Donetsk have decided that prior booking is not required.
There will be 4 accessible toilets within 30m of the disabled supporters area. Additionally, each of the non-disabled toilet blocks will contain an accessible toilet which disabled supporters are free to use.
Two entrances to the fan zone will be dedicated to disabled persons; one will be located at Stadionna Street, and the second one from the Shcherbakov Park side. Both entrances are accessible for wheelchair users.
Public Transport and Parking
Parking will be located behind the Donetsk athletic arena, from the 9 Yanvarya Alley. The Shcherbakov park parking could also be used. Movement of private vehicles during the matches will be limited on Stadionna Street. Right of way will be awarded to public transportation and shuttle buses that will move along the Airport - City Centre - Fan Zone route. The drop off zones will be located opposite the entrance to the fan zone area.
Volunteers will be on hand close to the disabled supporters area to offer support. They can assist in the purchase of any product in the fan zone. In the disabled supporters area, booklets will be available with printed information on all trade outlets.
25 mobile information points of the Tourist Information Centre in Donetsk have been arranged, as have 15 information desks at the city hotels.
Desks will also be located at Donetsk International Airport, railway station, the Donetsk Official Fan Zone EURO 2012, Pivdenna (south) and Zahidna (west) bus stations, Krytyi Rynok (Covered Market) bus station, Lenin square, Pushkin boulevard, the Donbass Arena stadium, the City Recreation Park, and the RSK Olimpiyskiy.
Information units will offer travel maps, plans, leaflets with important data for tourists, city guides, booklets, presentations, photo albums and a telephone directory. Volunteers will be based in each unit.
All staff working in the fan zone will receive basic disability training prior to the tournament.
All information on activities, a list of services and working hours of the fan zones is posted in the tab "Fan Zone" of the official site on the preparation of Donetsk for UEFA EURO 2012.
